ITCA has just confirmed that the the 2010 GUL Topper World Championships will be hosted by Malcesine Sailing Club, Lake Garda supported by ITCA (Italy) from 21st to 27th August 2010.The Notice of Race will be pulished by the end of January 2010. Desperately disappointed to see it is outwith the school holidays. Weren't we consulted or does GBR toppers only serve English sailors?
ReplyDeletei would really like too see a good strong scottish team going across to lake garda for the worlds this year ! i did the worlds last year and it is an amazing experience as well as a good holiday. although it is outwith the school holidays most schools now would be highly supportive about us going out of school for sporting events and as we will be doing events constanly through this year i think its a very good chance to go and meet new people and see what all our training has gone towards. the worlds is not a stressful as the nationals, to be honest it is more fun! there will be lots to do for familys and we will all have fun going swimming and all wit hour friends. too all who are having 2nd thoughts because of the dates, i would recomend you go ! IT WILL BE GREAT !! we need a good scottish team !
ReplyDeleteGuys, could you possibly comment if you are thinking of going ? its my 16th on the first day of the worlds and it would be nice to have everyone there. with numbers, maybe i could arange something ?
